Shit They Say Sunday: take 3

Welcome, welcome. It’s finally time for another episode of Shit They Say Sunday.

When Gabriel was about 3 months old, Vic was diagnosed as a Type-2 diabetic. His body has spent the subsequent 7 years screwing him over despite Vic doing everything his doctors told him to do.. Well, in about a month, he is taking a definitive step to try and solve this problem. Vic will be having Gastric Bypass surgery in early May. We are hoping and praying Vic falls into the 85% of diabetic patients that are able to ditch their insulin only 3 to 4 days after the surgery.

Yeah, I know that so far this doesn’t seem like a Shit They Say Sunday post but I promise that part is coming. Vic came home from work the other day and he was just cracking up. Vic mentioned that he and his partner, Mike, were messing around with their trainee and, somehow, the subject of his surgery came up. Vic looked at Mike and said he was already planning his celebration for about a year after the surgery. Now, Mike knew better than to ask Vic what the celebration was but their poor trainee opened his mouth and asked. He asked what Vic was going to do to celebrate his weight loss after the surgery. Vic looked at him and said, “In about a year, when I’ve really lost a lot of weight, I’m gonna come in here, rip off my shirt, jump up on the dispatch console, and start singing. And, I’m gonna sing “I’m too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt, so sexy it hurts…”

Their poor trainee didn’t know what to say…but, Mike had a response and it was this cartoon…image
So, do any of you have some funny shit you want to share with me?

Ha! Love your families humor 🙂

The surgery is coming up soon then! I really hope it goes well, and he’ll be able to go off insulin. I’m sure it’s scary, but what a great chance and possibility.
