A Shameful Confession

Y’all, in the spirit of *ICLW and letting any new people get to know me, I have a shameful confession to make. See, earlier this year, my middle son started watching something on TV. It was something I had a certain amount of disdain for, something I could never see myself watching on a regular basis. I was sure it was going to be something I suffered through on a weekly basis. I was wrong.

As he watched his show every week, I got exposed to it. Even if I was busy doing other things, I could hear his show in the background. I found myself commenting on the storyline, wincing when something looked really bad (even though I knew it was all planned out), and bitching when the asshole character came out on top. I even started saying that I’d rather watch this show than The Regular Show or The Amazing World of Gumball because at least this new found love of Joey’s was entertaining. I think I was saying that just to cover my growing enjoyment of the show.
I have to admit, one of the draws of this show is that there are some fabulous examples of eye candy on this show. Y’all, I may be married but that doesn’t mean I can’t look at all the yummy things on the menu. It didn’t hurt that one of my favorite characters on the show also has one of the prettiest bodies on the show. Take a look at this…
That magnificent piece of eye candy is John Cena and he’s a professional wrestler. That’s right…Joey’s new love is professional wrestling and I have to admit that I’m turning into a fan myself. That’s my shameful confession. I am a WWE fan.

Don’t worry, you are not alone. I am a fan, too. That being said, even the best laid plans come undone. That is why there are medics and contingency plans.

I am so relieved to know I’m friends with at least one other smart, beautiful, talented woman who is also a fan.

I see that you also suffer from secondary infertility. My daughter is 15 years old.

That’s brilliant, watching TV with your son so you can check out the eye candy! The only reason I will watch Rugby with my husband is to check out the players thighs 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Confession: I too, am a WWE fan. I regularly watch Wrestlemania EVERY year with my husband and a group of his college friends. We rotate who hosts the PPV each year. And… as much as I can’t stand John Cena the wrestler (his story and flip-flopping b/t face and heel over the years… ugh!) John Cena the Hunk is mighty fine to look at indeed.

Although. I’ve always been a fan of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and am so glad he’s been making cameo appearances for the last 6 months. And The Big Show. Ugly as hell but just fun to watch in the ring. Oh – and the Undertaker, or, as I like to call him, the Kind of Opening Entrances. I have a love/hate affair with Triple H. And Randy Orton just needs a bat to the face – ugh, I hate that smug sonofabitch.

    TYL 🙂 (Today you learned…)

When I was college “The Rock” was popular. That was my one and only experience with watching WWE. I think there are way worse shameful confessions like loving the Twilight series. : )

LOL, Gosh I remember watching WWF (before the silly lawsuit) as a kid with characters like Sgt. Slaughter & The Sheik. I also remember trying to put my little brother in the “figure 4.”

Ha! Those were the days…..Just wait till little man starts trying to practice his moves… 🙂

    Happy ICLW!
