In A Rut

I’ve been in a blogging rut lately. I know why it’s happening. I’ve had so much shit going on in my life that I’m in a funk. That funk has made it hard for me to write. Some of the things I want to vent about, well, I just can’t. And, my focus on the drama means that every other topic I think about has a pall cast across it.

So, I need your help. I need questions, topics, anything goes. You can give me a word or a phrase to write about. You can ask ANYTHING. Help me get my writing groove on.

No idea what to ask but I hope you get out of the rut soon. I know what it’s like, mostly from homework lately which I’m already tired of. Hugs to you.

    Aha…so I get to ask you questions…

    a) What do you wish to do at Christmas this year…would you like to celebrate it just as you have been doing it always or is there something special you have planned for this year?

    b) You have lived at a lot of places while growing up. What is that one place where you would take your kids, and the one place you would not want to take your kids, if you had the chance and the money to do so.

    c) Who was the earliest blogger you connected with? When did you encounter my blog first of all?

    d) What is your favourite emoticon?

    Need more? 🙂

I get in writing ruts all the time and I feel you about not being able to vent about what you want. I wish I could give you a topic but I can’t even think of some for myself! I hope things get better and you get your writing mojo back 🙂

I’m so sorry that you’re here, Kristin. Have you written out what you would want to write, even if you can’t publish it? That might help, too.

How about telling us about a favorite book or song? Or take us for a drive through your neighborhood, and describe what we’d see there? What is important to you about where you live, and why? If you were making a map, what would the important landmarks be?

(might make for a whole new rant on a whole new topic), but do you think people are encouraging their children to read enough these days? I am regularly exposed to children/young adults that just plain don’t read….anything. Drives me crazy 🙁

How do you get three boys out the door for school in the morning? I’d love to hear your tips.

You have three amazing boys. I know there have to have been times they’ve been too adventuresome for their own good. Any suggestions on quelling the dangerous antics without breaking their spirit? I love that Tatoe thinks he can do it. I just hate to leave the room for 30 seconds and come back to find him on top the sofa trying to climb the miniblinds. 🙂

[…] Thanks again to everyone who offered topics and questions for me to write about in response to my In A Rut post. In addition to spreading out the questions and topics, I decided I don’t want to answer […]
