Friday Night Leftovers: too brain dead to write

It’s Friday. I’m brain dead but I still want to post.  So, here are my random musings inspired by Danifred over at Sippy Cups Are Not For Starbucks.

  • It’s really hard when a loved one is going through something and you can’t tell people about it because of privacy issues. That’s why I haven’t posted much this week. Can’t get out what I need to talk about.
  • Why is it that Words With Friends will let you use words like porn and sexy but won’t let you use the word Jew?
  • I’ve been on a reading binge…5 books in the last 7 days. Have you read anything good lately?
  • Joey’s kitten Noodle is a lunatic…and he’s so damned cute that you can’t get mad at him.
  • I made delicious barbecue shredded chicken sandwiches for dinner…of course, the barbecue sauce was homemade. Yum!
  • I am tired of drama. I am tired of crises. I am tired of having family members fall on the wrong side of the odds. (see first item above) Can someone please tell the Powers That Be that I quit and it’s someone else’s turn?
  • My favorite Thugette, Kym, posted the world’s funniest revenge video over at The Smartness. Go watch it but only after you’re done (and have commented, pretty please) here.
  • Beware of candied apples…

Got any Leftovers you want to share? You can join the party.

That candied onion would make me puke for sure. Words with friends is strange. Often if I can find a word I start randomly putting letters together just to see if one of them will work. I hope things get better soon for your family.

I hear ya on the wrong side of the odds stuff. My cousin just got too sick to start her first round of chemo that was scheduled. Keeping you and your loved ones in my thoughts.

Caramelized onions take on new meaning. 🙂

I’m sorry about whatever is going on that you can’t post about … sending good thoughts your way.

Aw dude, that onion thing is just cruel.

I’ve been reading the Dexter books – I’m on the third one and I like it the best so far. I have been in a reading slump lately. Too much internet, I think.

Hope your family member’s problems resolve favorably. 🙂

I haven’t read the Dexter books yet. Is the TV show spun off from the books or vice versa?

Thank you too for the good wishes.

Oooh…that’s an evil trick. I just might have to do it.

I’m reading Brene Brown’s Daring Greatly. So very insightful — review coming.

Weird about words with friends. Is it a proper noun thing? (I have never played so I don’t know what I’m talking about.)

Boo for bad time… boo for candied onions (but really funny) and boo for “Can someone please tell the Powers That Be that I quit and it’s someone else’s turn?” <– as soon as you say you give up, the Powers That Be will turn up the heat just to prove you can do it and you need to know it. 😀 Here's to a new fabulous week for you!

OMG: “Kymberli’s Revenge” is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on the Internet. LOVE.

I know what you mean about wanting to post but you have the privacy issues. Oh boy, do I understand that one! I also wondered the same thing about WWF. How the hell is QI a word and Jew isn’t? Those “candy apples” made me ROFL!! So so bad!!! haha!
