Confessions of a TV Junkie

Hi, my name is Kristin and I’m a TV Junkie. That’s right, I’m addicted. In my book, DVRs are one of the best inventions ever and the AT&T Uverse DVR kicks ass because it can record 4 shows at once…and, yes, I have taken advantage of that feature.

I am so excited that the new fall TV season is starting despite the fact my DVR is starting to be overloaded. This is what our schedule looks like…

Sunday – This is a really light night for us. Just the Simpsons and an occasional football game.

Monday – Monday is a real workout for our DVR. Joey and I adore Dancing with the Stars on ABC. Then, there is How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke GirlsMike and Molly, and Hawaii Five-O (God, McGarrett is sexy) on CBS and Bones on Fox.

Tuesday – CBS gets our love on Tuesday. We’re long time fans of NCIS and NCIS:LA and Michael Chiklis in Vegas has brought us back for the entire lineup. Chiklis plays such a fabulous bad guy and I’ve really missed that since The Shield went off the air. I also can’t wait to check out The New Normal on NBC. I’ve heard only good things about this fab new comedy.

Wednesday – This is my favorite comedy night. I can not wait for Modern Family to come back on and The Middle is pretty damned funny too. This is also my favorite eye candy night. Supernatural sport two of the most gorgeous men in television and has some really kick ass story lines.

Ummmm, geez, this is starting to get a bit embarrassing. I’m only half way through the week and I’ve already owned up to watching more tv shows than any one person should admit to. Anyone care to make me feel a bit better and tell me what shows you are most looking forward to?

Pretty please, tell me what you watch and make this TV Junkie feel a little better.

Don’t feel bad. Or, at least, don’t feel alone. Ha!

I am normally a TV junky myself, but I have been addicted to my netflix lately!

It’s Wednesday night, and I just started season 1 of Revenge on Sunday night? and I am almost done.

I’m equally bad, my TV habit is borderline obsessive. I’m already looking about my DVR settings so i can be sure of what i need to record, what to watch live and what to put lower because it airs 35 times.

The sad thing, Kia, is that I really only named part of the shows we watch. We also watch the 2 CSIs, Doctor Who, and many others.

Just to make you feel better… the TV is on nearly all day at my house and my desk faces the TV screen. I don’t watch it as much as I listen to it, but there are a number of shows I absolutely love and seem to inspire ideas as I work on whatever creative project is on my list. I justify it by calling it background noise.. but really, it’s TV watching on the side. 😀

Sundays and Thursdays, I take advantage of my local PBS station’s habit of playing BBC shows – Wallander, Inspector Lewis, Doc Martin, Downton Abbey.

Other than that, I’m not terribly committed to anything. But I was watching Master Chef, and now will likely be watching X Factor and/or The Voice

We watch Boss, Louie, Girls, Modern Family, Episodes and Scandal.

The rest of the time it’s movies, sports or news. LOL!

Oh dear. Not at the computer or tv, so I’ll miss some. Two broke girls, mike and Molly, big bang theory, supernatural, modern family, suburgatory, Hawaii five-0, Grimm , once upon a time, doctor who, falling skies, saving hope, primeval continuum, top chef, chopped, great food truck race, looking forward to Vegas and revolution, I’m sure there are tons more. 😀

Year long is Chelsea Lately. Love her mouth and she makes me laugh all the time. Ca’t wait for Parenthood (have 1 DVR’d already), Whale Wars, Necessary Roughness, of course I have to watch my boyfriend on Criminal Minds weekly….not to mention fav comedys like Two Broke Girls and MANY others. The addiction must run in the family sister 🙂
